Goodwill Message to St. Mary’s Cradle on Their 10th Anniversary

I am filled with immense joy and pride as I extend my heartfelt congratulations to St. Mary’s Cradle on the remarkable occasion of your 10th-year anniversary. Haven served as Head of School for eight (8) unforgettable years, I can attest to the unwavering commitment and excellence that define this institution.

St. Mary’s Cradle stands as a shining example of what it means to provide a solid foundation in education. As a fully equipped Montessori school, it has consistently upheld the highest standards in the Montessori method, refusing to compromise on quality. The school’s individual learning approach ensures that every child learns at their unique pace, fostering independence and a love for knowledge. Character formation and virtue development are not just taught—they are lived and modeled daily.

The environment at St. Mary’s Cradle is always clean, calm, and purposefully prepared, creating a space where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This atmosphere of excellence is a direct reflection of the exemplary leadership of the Director, Mrs. Nneka Okpala. Her involvement in the day-to-day operations, her understanding of each child’s uniqueness, and her genuine care for both teaching and non-teaching staff have been a cornerstone of the school’s success. Her humility, respect, and dedication inspire everyone around her.

As you celebrate this milestone, I pray that St. Mary’s Cradle continues to grow in leaps and bounds, touching the lives of many more children and families. Congratulations on a decade of making a difference. May the next ten years bring even greater success and blessings!

Mrs. Nwokoye

Head of School (2014 - 2012)

While looking for a crèche for my son Obi, I was looking for a school that would develop his physical, mental & intellectual abilities. Once I visited St Mary’s Cradle & learnt it was a Montessori, I was fully content.

That being said, I believed in the vision of Mrs Okpala and thus didn’t mind my son being the first & only child enrolled at that time.

Along the line other students joined and my twins enrolled by the next year.

Seeing how St Mary’s Cradle is growing enlightens my heart knowing other parents also see and trust the vision because the vision of the school is one you’ll never regret you embarked on.

With zero regrets and all the gratitude in my heart 10 years later, I want to say a very big thank you to Mrs Okpala and all the staff that are making the dream come through. I truly appreciate you all.

A very special thank you to Mrs Okpala for who she is, the role she plays in our lives and all she stands for. A mother, teacher, CEO, friend & prayer warrior. I pray that for every child and family you have impacted with your vision, God repays you back a thousand fold. More grace, more growth, more strength and all your heart desires In Jesus Name, Amen.

Happy 10th Anniversary St Mary’s Cradle, I appreciate you.

Mrs. Reri Osiegbu

Obi, Nma, Onyema's Mum

We are deeply grateful to St. Mary’s Cradle Montessori Pre School for the incredible role it has played in our children’s lives. Both of our children (Somtochukwu and Chukwudumebi) began their journey at St. Mary’s as infants, at just about two months old plus, and moved through each stage from crèche to toddler, nursery 1, and nursery 2 before graduating to primary school.

St. Mary’s Cradle gave them the strong foundation they needed to thrive, not just academically but socially, spiritually, and personally. The seamless transition from pre-school to primary school is a testament to the quality and dedication of the team at St. Mary’s. Our children have consistently topped their classes and have won multiple academic and sports awards, along with recognition in various school activities and competitions. They are confident, well-rounded, and happy, and we know this is thanks to the early nurturing they received here at St Mary’s Cradle.

We owe a special thank you to “Grandma,” the school’s director, who also happens to be my mum. Her unwavering commitment and genuine love for every child has left a lasting mark on so many families, including ours. From the days when St. Mary’s was just a vision to celebrating this milestone of 10 incredible years, we couldn’t be prouder.

Happy 10th Anniversary to St. Mary’s Cradle Montessori Pre School and the wonderful team behind its success! Here’s to many more years of shaping young lives and setting children on paths of excellence.

Mr. & Mrs. Nwabuzor

Somto and Dumebi’s Parents

We were looking for a day care center to care for our newborn and fragile child, who was only two months old, so that the mother could return to work after her maternity leave. We stumbled into St. Mary’s Cradle and immediately felt at home because of the friendly staff and pleasant surroundings.

After speaking with Mrs. Nneka Okpala, we had to rethink our plans. My wife resigned from her job to care for young Ebipadou. During her formative years, she was eager to attend school, demonstrating that school was another home; she connected so deeply with other children that she sang and called their first and last names at home. They prepare the kids mentally and psychologically for Primary school. The school is a true cradle for kids.

Our second child Tokoni also attended this school, where we met and connected with wonderful parents and amazing teachers who helped her develop progressively. From St. Mary’s Cradle, we have been blessed with beautiful and amazing family friends. We believe a good school is defined by the quality of its teachers and that is what St. Mary is known for.

St. Mary’s is such an understanding institution that even when we faced our most difficult moments as parents, they offered us support and understanding. The fact that the school does not overuse its facilities is one of my favorite aspects of it. We recall walking into our child’s class and seeing that each pupil had a bed and a wardrobe provided to them.

To Mrs Nneka Okpala popularly known as ‘grandma’, you are an amazing and exceptional woman. You are a true definition of proverbs 31: 28. You are so passionate about the well-being of these children. I see how you glow with joy and excitement when the children are happy, what about the giggles and laughter when we call to inform you about the awards your alumni are receiving. We love and honour you Ma. Your love, prayers, sacrifies and the time you have invested in the lives of these children will never be in vain.

I pray that St. Mary continues to grow in the quality and service level, giving children the firm foundation, enabling them to reach their full potential.

I am so excited to share my family’s experience with St. Mary’s Cradle as you celebrate your 10th anniversary. My children, Chialuka and Michael have been students here for over two years.

We’ve witnessed remarkable growth in our children’s academic performance, confidence, and social skills. The school’s dedicated teachers and staff have created a nurturing environment that fosters curiosity and creativity.

The school’s emphasis on the Montessori method has been particularly impressive. It’s helped our children develop essential life skills and values. I’m particularly impressed with their enhanced curiosity and love for learning. (These kids will not let me rest until they finish up their homework or mid-term projects) laughs…………

We appreciate the open communication and collaboration between parents and teachers. The school’s community events and activities have become something we always look up to. St. Mary’s Cradle has exceeded our expectations in every way. We’re grateful for the positive impact it’s had on our children’s lives.

Congratulations on 10 incredible years! We look forward to many more.

Our Dear St Mary’s Cradle Community

It seems like just yesterday that we brought our little Bilaal to the creche. He was a picky eater, and we struggled with feeding him well as first-time parents (FTP). Fast forward to three years later, and Bilaal has transformed into a hearty eater with an impressive sense of confidence for his age.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude and admiration for the exceptional care and education you’ve provided to our Bilaal over the past three years. Your dedication, patience, and kindness have made a profound impact on Bilaal’s life and ours as a family. We’re always reassured that our son is in safe hands, and he’s found a home away from home at St Mary’s. This is why it’s been the easiest school referral for our parent friends who need a safe haven for their kids too.

Your nurturing environment has helped Bilaal grow from a timid toddler into a confident, curious, and creative four-year-old. We’re grateful for the talented teachers and staff, including Miss Racheal, Mrs. Ariyibi, Mrs. Goodness, Miss Mary, Miss Victoria, Miss Helen, Miss Grace, Miss Happiness and Miss Fiyin, among others. They’ve fostered his love for learning, encouraged his individuality, and helped him develop essential social skills.

We’re looking forward to bringing his little sister, Nabeelah to start at the creche too.

Thank you for being an extraordinary school community. We feel fortunate to be a part of it and look forward to many more years of growth, exploration, and happiness. Happy 10-year anniversary to the best foundation/preparatory school! We’re cheering you on to 100 years of greatness. We need more schools like St Mary’s in Nigeria.

As parents, entrusting our children to a preschool is a significant step, and we couldn’t have made a better choice. Over the years, this preschool has become so much more than just a place of learning; it has become family. Our children have flourished here, nurtured in a warm and supportive environment that celebrates each child’s unique potential. The dedication, kindness, and genuine care the staff show every day are truly remarkable, and it has made all the difference in our children’s early development.

Congratulations on your 10th anniversary! We are so grateful for all the beautiful memories and the strong foundation you’ve helped build in our children’s lives. Here’s to many more years of success, love, and learning!

Mrs. Chioma Emegwara

Naeto & Dilichukwu's Mum

Saint Mary’s Cradle holds a special place in my heart. When I began searching for a school for my daughter in 2019, I had three core priorities in mind: Christian values, a low teacher-to-student ratio, and, above all, a true passion for education. From my very first visit, it was clear that Saint Mary’s is on a mission—to nurture young leaders. Mrs. Okpala and her dedicated team pour their hearts into every detail, ensuring each child receives the attention they deserve.

Through their unwavering support, Isabel has flourished. She’s become more independent and is growing into a confident communicator, thanks to the school’s nurturing environment.

The focus on essential English skills, particularly her understanding of vowels and consonants, has given Isabel the confidence to read and spell words well beyond her age level—an ability that consistently impresses her teachers and fills us with pride.

As Saint Mary’s Cradle celebrates its 10th anniversary, I am deeply grateful for the lasting impact they’ve had on Isabel’s life and so many others. This school represents a rare, invaluable commitment to excellence in our country’s educational landscape. I’m honored to be a part of this journey, and I wish Saint Mary’s Cradle continued growth and success for many years to come.

Words cannot fully express my gratitude to St. Mary’s Cradle for the wonderful care and dedication they have provided to my daughter, Nalani, since she was just six months old. The entire team has been like a second family to us, guiding her every step of the way and helping her grow in a safe, nurturing environment.

From her early milestones to her latest achievements, the caregivers at St. Mary’s have shown unmatched dedication, patience, and love. They have not only supported her physical growth but have also fostered her emotional and social development, encouraging her to be curious, kind, and confident. I am constantly amazed by how they personalize their care, paying attention to every little detail to ensure she feels loved and supported.

Their thoughtful approach to learning has also been remarkable, introducing her to activities that promote creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking. The skills she’s developed so far have been invaluable, and I know they will serve her well as she grows.

The communication from the staff has been open and consistent, keeping me informed and involved every step of the way. This has given me peace of mind, knowing she’s in an environment that truly cares for her as an individual.

I am deeply grateful to St. Mary’s Cradle for helping Nalani reach each new stage with joy and confidence. Thank you for going above and beyond to make her early years so special. I couldn’t have chosen a better place for her.

CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF ST MARY’S CRADLE

My family is fascinated to be part of the celebration of the 10th year anniversary of St. Mary’s Cradle.

Our experience with your institution through the studentship of our Princess Ngozi Igwe has been totally amazing and remarkably rewarding.

She comes back home from School every day an improved person with a huge appetite to learn and explore.

Your reputation for imparting love and care is also quite impressive.

Her general behavioral changes observed show that the right values are being inculcated to complement our efforts at home and that of the Church.

Please sustain the good work as we also pray that God will bless and favour the endeavours of owners and Management of the school.

The only word that can best describe or capture our experience as parents of a child that attends St. Mary’s Cradle is Wonderful.

Gianna is always excited to be in school and we have been more than satisfied with the quality of teaching and care rendered to her.

We have had several wonderful experiences with the management of the school but there is one that always stood out for us. There was a time that Gianna fell very ill at school and she had to be quickly taken to the hospital for medication attention. The Proprietress herself was the one who took her to the hospital and ensured that the Doctors attended to her before we got to the hospital.

We thank the Proprietress, the teachers and the entire management of the school and wish you a happy 10th year anniversary. May the school continue to grow in leaps and bounds. Thank you.

Mrs. Esene

Gianna’s Parents

Our experience with St. Mary’s Cradle has been nothing short of transformative for our family. Entrusting Zara, Mara, and Nara’s early education to this remarkable school has been one of the best decisions we have made. Watching each of them grow, learn, and flourish under the exceptional care of Mrs. Okpala, Miss. Racheal, Mrs. Nwokoye, and the rest of the teachers has brought us immense joy and gratitude. These educators are truly passionate about nurturing young minds, and they have instilled in our children a love for learning that continues to bloom.

The environment at St. Mary’s Cradle is not only welcoming but feels like an extended family. Every time we entered the school, there was a palpable sense of warmth, support, and kindness that reassured us as parents that our children were in excellent hands. The teachers went beyond academic instructions, focusing on the whole child by fostering values of empathy, kindness, and resilience. The personalized attention and care our children received allowed them to develop confidence and curiosity-qualities that have been foundational to their continued success.

Now thriving in their new school, Zara, Mara, and Nara consistently demonstrate these positive habits, resilience, and love for learning that began at St. Mary’s Cradle. They have been able to transition smoothly, and it’s clear that the strong educational and emotional foundation laid by Mrs. Okpala and her team has played a significant role. We frequently hear from their new teachers about their enthusiasm for learning and willingness to help others, and we couldn’t be prouder of the impact St. Mary’s Cradle has had on shaping who they are.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of the school’s journey and community. We wish you a Happy 10th Anniversary as you celebrate this milestone and the continued impact of St. Mary’s Cradle on future generations.

It’s been two amazing years since we enrolled our daughter at St Mary’s cradle and I must say we love everything about St Mary’s. Our experience has been wholesome because they have a safe, warm, creative and rich educational environment for learning.

We love the small class size and the one-one attention for each child, because it provides a good learning and nurturing environment enabling them to flourish.

Our daughter loves going to school and we are blown away by her curiosity and love for learning. Not only has she learnt reading and writing but her social skills, confidence, manners are greatly improved.

The Director and her staff are really great people and they always keep us updated with daily reports and newsletters at the end of each session.

We look forward to our second little one attending in future.

Thank you to everyone at St Mary’s Cradle.

Happy 10th Anniversary St. Mary’s Cradle!!🎉

I am really excited to have been a part of this journey for 6 years! My daughter, currently in year 2, started with the lower toddler class and is doing exceptionally well in her academics and virtues and it’s all thanks to the excellent foundation she got from St. Mary’s.

St. Mary’s Cradle is not just an early foundation school, it is also a home and a family. Both my kids never cried at drop off, they were always excited to go to school. The warmth and genuine interest on each child gives the assurance that the kids are well taken care of.

The smooth blend of academic, extra curricular and experiential learning also balances the “all work and no play” aspect of child raising perfectly.

I thank St. Mary’s Cradle for their support in the developmental stage of both my kids and also thank in a special way Mrs. Okpala for her motherly love and commitment towards raising perfect leaders of tomorrow and Ms. Rachael for always being supportive and ready to teach and nurture each child that goes through St. Mary’s.

Wishing St. Mary’s happy 10th anniversary once again and many more prosperous years to come!!
